The flesh of the dragon fruit comes in two colors, red and white. Dragon fruit which has red flesh in it has more nutritional value as it aids in increasing blood production.

Generally fruits which have many seeds have the properties to increase the production of sperms. By consuming this fruit does not mean that it can cure virility problems. The fruit has to be eaten from young age and is a gift from god to help build and maintain a good and healthy body system.

The fruit is very fleshy and thick and it has the properties to cut fat. Women who are above 25 years who have menstruation problems often put on weight. These individuals and individuals who are in the obese stage are advised to live on fruits and avoid rice and high carbohydrate foods. Chocolates, yellow wheat noodles and cheese are also to be avoided as much as possible as it has high fat content. Therefore to achieve noticeable and effective results in losing weight, it is best to avoid and control the types of food which can cause you to put on weight.

FOOD IS 'THE' MEDICINE
With today��s unhealthy lifestyle, many young people, i.e. children, teenagers and youth are falling prey to various kinds of sickness and diseases. This has lead to a shorter life span. If you want to live longer and be healthy, you can opt or follow the Siddha way of living.

Siddha way of living was founded more than 5,000 years ago and has been practiced by ancient and current Siddhi��s. Siddha Way of Life is divided into yoga, yajna, treatment and diet.


FOOD IS ��The�� MEDICINE

The ancient Tamils believed that Food is ��The�� Medicine. Young children should be given the right food from the tender age of two to avoid and be free from major diseases. If children from the age of two are given the right food and are taught on the proper way of eating, it will cultivate into a habit and that will become part of their lifestyle. When this happens, they can be free from major diseases and live healthy until nature takes its course.

Besides proper eating, oil bathing is also very important as it reduces
a) High blood pressure,
b) body heat and
c) stabilizes metabolic rate (Dosha) according to body type (Vata, Pitta or Kapha)

At present, we frequently eat oily food like Roti Canai, Mee Goreng or high GI food for breakfast. This eating practice is wrong as it harms our health and causes obesity problem.

We also tend to drink carbonated drinks. Frequent drinking of carbonated drinks will increase body heat as we live in a hot climate. It is best we substitute such beverages to a much healthier one. Pandan drink is one example that can be categorized under natural and healthy drinks. It can be consumed by juicing the Pandan leaves and adding little sugar to the extracted juice as favored. Pandan drink not only helps to quench your thirst but also has many medicinal values i.e.

a) Reduces cholesterol
b) helps lose weight and
c) increases blood flow
